How does it scale?
Words made simple
A few useful meanings before you read the explanation.
- API
- A way for one piece of software to ask another for data or an action. A claims API might return the current status of a claim.
- Agent
- An application that uses a model to choose its next action within defined limits. It can use tools and continue through several steps.
- Tenant
- A customer or organization whose data must stay separate from other customers in a shared application.
- Estimate request rate and model/tool amplification, provider quotas, concurrency, history size, corpus updates, and review arrival rate.
- Scale stateless APIs, separate ingestion from chat, bound queues, isolate noisy tenants, and serialize conflicting updates to the same run.
Operational requirement: demonstrate restart, redeploy, permission change, provider outage, backup recovery, and workload bursts. More replicas cannot fix a quota, a stale index, or an unbounded agent.
